GTA 6 Trailer Locations
Updated · 3 min read
Short answer: GTA 6's two trailers were filmed all over Leonida, but mostly in three places: Vice Beach (Vice City's Miami Beach), the Leonida Keys, and the prison south of the city where Lucia starts. Below is every scene with a link to its pin. All 86 trailer and screenshot scenes are also on the map as the Trailer spots layer.
Updated Oct 13, 2026: first version, Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and the May 2025 screenshots.
When did the GTA 6 trailers come out?
- Trailer 1 came out on the evening of December 4, 2023, a day early, after a low-quality copy leaked. It revealed the title, Lucia, Vice City and a 2025 window, set to Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road".
- Trailer 2 dropped without warning on May 6, 2025, set to "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters, together with more than 70 screenshots and Rockstar's pages on the six regions.
There's no Trailer 3: Rockstar's August 2026 Extended Look on Netflix took its place.

Where were the official screenshots taken?
Rockstar's May 2025 screenshots cover all six regions. A few you can find on the map: the Starlet Motel and Delights in Port Gellhorn, the Ambrosia bikers by the sugar refinery, the Vice City airport, Watson Bay and a helicopter shot over Mount Kalaga. Ten of them are in the Keys alone.
How were the scenes placed?
The scene positions come from the State of Leonida mapping project (used with permission), which matched each shot to the community map by its buildings, roads and coastline. They're marked Official on our map because the scenes themselves are from Rockstar; the exact spot is a careful community match. If you think one is off, tell us.
