GTA 6 beaches

GTA 6's main beach is Ocean Beach, Vice City's version of Miami Beach, with "pastel art deco hotels and bright white sands" in Rockstar's words. Rockstar has also named Washington Beach, the Extended Look shows a beach at Bayside, and the Leonida Keys are an island chain built for boats and swimming. Here's every beach shown so far, with what it's based on and where it is on our map.

What is Ocean Beach in GTA 6?
The beach strip Rockstar names in its Vice City copy: "pastel art deco hotels and bright white sands". It's GTA 6's South Beach, and the name comes from 2002's GTA: Vice City, which also had an Ocean Beach. Behind the sand are the hotels mappers have matched one by one to Ocean Drive:

Where is Washington Beach?
In the Vice City area, per Rockstar: the Ultimate Edition's Shitzu Squalo boat is "docked at Washington Beach". Rockstar hasn't shown it on a map yet. The community has a Y Vice City pin in the Washington Beach area. Washington Beach was also a district in the 2002 game; see GTA 6 vs original Vice City.
Where is Bayside?
A neighbourhood Lucia names after a police chase in the August 2026 Extended Look, with storefronts and a beach. Rockstar didn't say where it is. We'll pin it once it's placed.
Are there beaches outside Vice City?
Yes, though fewer are named. The Leonida Keys copy promises "some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America", with boat parties, scuba diving among giant turtles and the Rusty Anchor dive bar. Jason's beachfront house is in the Keys: Jason's House. On the Gulf side, Port Gellhorn is "Leonida's forgotten coast" of cheap motels, with a pier, and the leaked map shows long chains of islands and sandbars like the Sandbars.
What can you do at the beach in GTA 6?
From the trailers and the Extended Look: jet skis, kayaking, jumping into the sea, scuba diving, boat parties, and posting to in-game social media. Game Informer also reports tropical storms and hurricanes in the game. See GTA 6 activities.
Is South Beach in GTA 6?
In everything but name. Ocean Beach is South Beach: the art deco hotels, the strip, the welcome mural (pinned as the Vice Beach Welcome Mural) and the marina at the south tip (Vice Beach Marina).
